Skaped

Sandy AbdelRahman is an activist, creative social entrepreneur and co-founder of Skaped. A values-driven bilingual with a passion for human rights, the arts and social mobility; she is determined to stand up for the less fortunate and provide a voice for the overlooked and unheard.

Skaped is a platform that encourages young people to engage with their human rights through creative arts.
Skaped’s ethos is around the power of debate and the importance of making sure our young people are taught to question everything. Skaped believes that education is a political tool. By failing to educate our young people, we run the risk of creating passive individuals instead of the young leaders and role models that society needs now more than ever.

#Skaped

#Skaped is a grassroots project that uses creativity to explore Human Rights. I address this important issue because as a child growing up in Egypt I witnessed people being denied the most basic rights. Social Ark believed in me, and supported me to shape #Skaped. Social Ark is my community family, we all work together and help one another to take that next step. The team care about every member, they understand and respect our individual life stories and the importance of how we can use our lived experiences to help the wider community
