Meet Jason
Rock Solid Inspiration

Jason’s visit to Social Ark was infectious; Jason came to do a talk on road safety, telling us about his own life experiences. From living in a house where Heroin was taken and traded like bags of sweets, to begging and going into the care system and secure units, to eventually being involved in a fatal car crash where he lost his best friend, Jason ended up serving a 7 year prison sentence. Jason is proof that no matter how troubled your past may be, that if you try hard enough you can turn it around. An inspiration to all, Jason is now a qualified boxing coach, Drama Therapist and inspirational speaker, he has shared his learning and talked to over 65,000 young people in schools up and down the country.

As well as offering boxing sessions for Social Ark, Jason is developing his social enterprise Rock Solid Inspirations. With a background in acting and theatre Jason has mixed his acting and communication skills with an in-depth understanding of the mindsets of at risk young people and developed a unique approach to the challenges they face. Rock Solid Inspirations involves offering drama therapy, a workshop, to schools, youth organisations and young offenders. The young people develop social and communication skills by using improvisation, role play, story telling and script work, encouraging them to experiment with new ways of thinking and behaving;  Jason Rock “this allows them to explore past experiences and express themselves in ways that might be easier than talking about it.”
